FREE Valentine's Fun Pack and Picture Book List!
/Valentine’s is usually a “love/hate” kind of holiday for most. Some people are tired of commercialism while others adore the special focus on love and romance this time of year.
I’ll say that I squarely fall into the middle. I’m not one for “mush” but I absolutely love to take time to make sure that my family knows just how important they are to me. We have very simple, candy-centered traditions around our house. I’ll also add that over the years, I’ve found that I need a little “encouragement” myself mid-February. The shine and fun of the Christmas season has dimmed, we’ve all made it through dark January days, and now … well, more winter. February weather is often temperamental, and honestly, this is time for a very common “slump” for homeschool parents.
Personally, we’ve found that making Valentine’s into a real THING brings some anticipation, fun, joy, and community into otherwise dreary days. Rather than just have one special day, we now plan multiple days of sharing gratitude and what we love about one another, doing hands-on projects, and getting together with friends to have parties as well. Because, honestly, why not?
This fun pack is nothing complicated. But you’ll find it adds a little extra kick to this fun day. I’ll note that it’s best for the preschool through maybe 2nd grade crowd as well.
This fun pack includes:
